the rolled neck jumper / winter simplicity

              Parfois, quand il fait vraiment trop froid, il n'y a pas grand chose à faire à part mettre un gros pull et affronter ça. Les journées d'hiver très froides et ensoleillées sont des journées que j'adore, mais dans la limite du raisonnable car je suis plutôt frileuse.
En ce moment, j'ai beaucoup de choses à faire un peu partout et je privilégie le confortable : la tenue d'aujourd'hui le reflète donc, avec ce pull à gros col roulé que j'ai eu à Noël et que j'aime d'un amour infini. Dans cet article je partage aussi avec vous mes règles d'or pour être bien et au chaud en hiver, même quand les températures passent sous le 0 ! (un shooting à -7°, c'était quand même quelque chose ahah).

              Sometimes when the weather is just too cold, there's not much to do except throw on a chunky jumper and face it. Frosty winter days with sunshine are my favorite but let's say I don't really handle cold nicely .. As soon as the temperatures are dropping a bit too much I don't know what to do and would give the world to stay under a big plaid at home. But that's not how it works and of course most of the time I need to get dressed, go out, and freeze. It is the time of the year when my outfits are more on the casual side, as there's not much creativity involved when you need to add 10 000 layers to your silhouette and hide it all under a coat. But still, I like my outfit to please me and I've found the perfect jumper in this one from H&M that I got this Christmas. It is still available and the link is at the end of the post as usual ☺.

In this blogpost I'll also share with you my golden rules to stay warm and stylish this winter, even when the temperatures are getting under 0 ! (this shoot was made at -7°C, and I can tell you I almost died from the cold ahah).

1. Le confort / Comfort

Rien de plus désagréable quand il fait froid d'être en plus inconfortable dans sa tenue. Prenez votre jupe préférée, votre jean favoris ou vos bottines fétiches, et n'osez même pas penser à choisir autre chose. Pour être bien, il faut être dans une tenue dans laquelle on se sent à l'aise. Ici j'ai choisi un jean très basique qui est mon incontournable.

There's nothing more unpleasing when it is cold outside to be uncomfortable in your outfit. Take your favorite skirt, favorite jeans or favorite boots and do not even think of choosing that pair of heels you know will hurt you as soon as you'll step out of your home. To fell nice you first need to be comfortable in your outfit. Here I chose a very basic pair of jeans which is my go-to when I don't know what to wear.

2. La superposition / Layering

On en parlait déjà un peu dans cet article, et la superposition parfois, ne se voit pas ..! Quand on ne veut pas avoir froid il faut être pragmatique alors tout est bon pour empiler les couches de vêtements. Personnellement la première chose que je met c'est un body en coton très près du corps qui me rapporte un peu de chaleur en plus sans ajouter de l'épaisseur, ensuite un tee-shirt/une blouse/une chemise, puis mon pull ! Ici mon gros pull à une coupe assez loose donc on ne voit aucune démarcations.

We already talk a bit about layering in this post, and sometimes, layering does not even show ..! When you don't want to be cold you need to be logical and everything's good to add on layer over another on and on until you're warm enough but not looking bulky. My first layer when it is way to cold outside is a cotton bodysuit, very close to the silhouette so it adds a bit of warmth without too much thickness. Then I'll add a tee-shirt/blouse/shirt, and then a jumper ! Here mine has quite a loose cut so you can't see any marks from the layers underneath.

3. Les accessoires / Accessories

Ça paraît un peu bête dit comme ça, mais une tenue casual il faut l'accessoiriser. Car être habillée simplement, ok, mais pas être habillée sans avoir porter attention à sa tenue. Ici j'ai choisi d'empiler des bijoux en mixant gold et argent ; ça fait très féminin et on le voit dès que je remonte un peu mes manches ! Le bag charm est aussi un plus pour moi, et on peut aussi inclure les chapeaux dans cet catégories qui tout de suite viennent compléter un look assez simple.

It might sound a bit obvious said like that, but a casual look need accessories. Because that's okay to be dressed casually but you wouldn't want your outfit to be boring. Here I chose to add a stack of jewels at my wrist, mixing gold and silver : it adds a very feminine touch to the look and it is visible as soon as I pull up my sleeves a bit. A bag charm is also always a nice touch, as a hat is : it can complete any basic outfit perfectly.
